There has been a recent obsession within my life: wedge sneakers. I recently bought a pair (no longer available, which makes me scared because that means no one wanted to buy) that's black with exaggerated mid-level netting (like in a regular running shoe) and altered it a bit to make the laces look less tacky. I've been continually looking at them but I don't yet have the heart to actually wear them because I've not seen anyone in real life do so. I know life is not about caring what others think about your shoes but...I used up that bravery for schooling, career, and social life...so they kind of have this style:

The soles on mine are black and I got them from Agaci. The ones above are from Steve Madden by the way (also not availible). I actually love the idea of combining athleticism with the femininity of a wedge but I so far have not heard anyone agree with me that these things are actually worth wearing...hopefully, one day, I get a spurt of courage. Right now, I will only consider wearing these if I'm going somewhere I know I will never come back to XD. But, the bottomline of this post is validate my opinion so I can actually regularly wear these. JK

Wardrobe Staples: Teal
The memory of rain reflected over glass: teal is such an appealing color because of how cool its balance between natural and urban settings. The slightly worn shade of this is personally my go-to color for anything- clothing, food, stationary... That being said, whenever I see a teal piece I always have the urge to snag it up despite the pricing XD. Here are some of the great shopping-cart occupiers right now:

This $29.99 loose drawstring trench coat from Cichic is like an effortless splash of lively color and style to my life. I love that it's so light and made of cooling lapel cotton. Because of the color and trench coat-esque feel, you can wear this piece through the seasons. As it is spring right now, I can imagine myself wearing it with some white skinnies, a worn-grey light tee and matching wedges.

Student life is quite romanticized nowadays as small media personalities look back to their high school and college days, That's what makes this cute leather backpack so appealing. There is no denying the irresistible memory of innocence and timelessness associated with childhood in the face of this backpack. It's $800 by Phillip Lim, currently sold out XD (Good, I need something to stop me!)

If a backpack seems too juvenile for you right now, this light-hearted crossbody might be the thing if you're looking for something young and casual. It's covered in leather and is sold by Fossil by only $148.
Isn't everything so cute? And even if you don't support the leather industry, there are lots of alternatives out there that have similar, timeless designs.

Easy and Classy Nail Art
In our ever increasingly busy world, it's hard to find the right balance between cute and professional- especially among so many different professions and workplace expectations. This week, I chose to highlight this adorable and easy nail design, which features the ever-classy combo of black and white. All you have to do is paint two coats of a solid white above a base coat, let them dry, and then use two strips of nail tape's straight edges (or even regular pieces of tape) to paint black lines. This idea is absolutely stunning and would never look too flirty in the casual setting. Top off your finished product with a top coat to lock in shine and you're ready to go!

Paperpastels Mascot Contest Entry
In yesterday's post, I told you guys about making my last minute entry for the paperpastels mascot contest. Even though it is slightly sloppy, I'm really happy with the way it turned out- especially at the end. This picture- video was super fun to make and I hope you guys enjoy watching! Bye.
What do you think about the video? Do you think I have a chance against all of the other amazing entries the contest has been given?

Dangly Episode #4: Macarons
It seems like everyone in the clay world has made these, and I have finally succumbed to making these cute french sandwiches. In this video, I will show you my version (I'm sure they're all pretty much the same) of macaron- making. I made these in black and magenta for a special reason- which I will reveal in a Back-to -School special. (I haven't gone back to school yet, have any of you guys?) Let's get to it!
Before you leave, I would just like to say that Paperpastels hosted a youtube 150k subs mascot contest- which I will enter. The contest deadline for submissions is today, and yes, I should be working on it instead of blogging on all three of my blogs. Anyways, good luck to everyone who entered (including myself)! Bye everyone!
